Made it!!! They definitely saved the steepest part of the canyon for last -- funny how I never noticed that in a car... At 10,276 feet, this is the highest I will be on this trip. I feel surprisingly good for having averaged 8 mph up the canyon with only three stops (one overnight). I have two power bars, three bagels, half a block of cheese, and half a summer sausage for lunch. The next 35 miles exhaust me, even though they are (relatively) flat...
